In today's Illustrator and Photoshop tutorial I'm going to take you through the process of creating a mid-century illustration, complete with distressed print effects. I'll show you how to achieve the visual traits that give the artwork the appearance of a retro matchbook print, such as the use of limited colours, halftone shading, misregistration effects, and the all-important old paper texture that turns the clean and crisp vector illustration into a nostalgic cartoon that is full of character! ⭐️ Get Your .design Domain Free for the First Year - https://spoon.graphics/designdomain 📦 Join my mailing list and get a FREE design resources bundle! http://spoon.graphics/freebundle ► Download the initial sketch - https://spoon.graphics/2G4nznM ► Download my Free Vector Halftone Patterns - http://spoon.graphics/1GhJvSF ► Download my Free Subtle Grunge PS Brushes - http://spoon.graphics/2f3DgfX ► Old Paper Background by Krasovski Dmitri - https://spoon.graphics/2FTT82h ► Signpainter Housescript - https://spoon.graphics/2EVTDcA #Illustrator #IllustratorTutorial #AdobeIllustrator #Photoshop #PhotoshopTutorial #AdobePhotoshop Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator design tutorials from Chris Spooner of Spoon Graphics. Color Classics were a series of animated short subjects produced by Fleischer Studios for Paramount Pictures from 1934 to 1941 as a competitor to Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies. As the name implies, all of the shorts were made in color, with the first entry in the series, Poor Cinderella, being the first color cartoon produced by the Fleischer studio. There were 36 films produced in this series. The first Color Classic was photographed in the two-color Cinecolor process. The rest of the 1934 and 1935 cartoons were shot in two-color Technicolor, because the Disney studio had an exclusive agreement with Technicolor that prevented other studios from using the lucrative three-strip process. That exclusive contract expired in September 1935, and the 1936 Color Classic cartoon Somewhere in Dreamland became the first Fleischer cartoon produced in three-strip Technicolor.[1] While they are sometimes considered by film historians to be pale Silly Symphonies knock-offs,[1] many of the Color Classics are still highly regarded today,[2] including Somewhere in Dreamland (1936), the Academy Award nominated shorts, Educated Fish (1937) and Hunky and Spunky (1938, first in a subseries). Both lost to the Disney nominations, "The Old Mill" and "Ferdinand the Bull." The first film in the series, Poor Cinderella, featured Betty Boop (with red hair and turquoise eyes); future films were usually one-shot cartoons with no starring characters. Many of the Color Classics entries make prominent use of Max Fleischer's Stereoptical process, a device which allowed animation cels to be photographed against actual 3D background sets instead of the traditional paintings. Poor Cinderella, Somewhere in Dreamland, and Christmas Comes But Once a Year (starring Betty Boop character Grampy) all make prominent use of the technique. Disney's competing apparatus, the multiplane camera, would not be completed until 1937, three years after the Stereoptical Process's first use.[1] The Color Classics series ended in 1941 with Vitamin Hay, starring Hunky and Spunky. A similar series would be started by Fleischer's successor Famous Studios in 1943, under the name Noveltoons. GOON CARTOONS is a creator and curator of funny, cartoon and basically sick-ass videos! All's Fair at the Fair - A Color Classic CARTOON produced by Max Fleischer VINTAGE

08:23
All's Fair at the Fair is a seven-minute cartoon released in 1938. A Color Classic produced by Max Fleischer, it was distributed by Paramount. The Film Daily called the short a "novelty cartoon" and gave the following review: "A couple of sticks visit the fair grounds where the World's Fair is being held, and find themselves participating in a series of adventures with the ultra-modern mechanism operated by robots. Finally, they reach the dance pavilion, and the wife and husband each are taken in hand by robots and whirled around the floor. Other mechanical gags give them a marvelous meal, beauty and barber treatments, and clinical attention to restore their youth. Very clever and novel. A Max Fleischer cartoon in Technicolor." Betty Boop Crazy Town 1932 Vintage Cartoon Animation Public Domain Crazy Town is a 1932 Fleischer Studios Talkartoon animated short film featuring Betty Boop. Synopsis Betty and Bimbo take a trip to Crazy Town for a small vacation where anything can happen. They arrive on a train that acts like a horse. Mice are roaring and birds swim in the lake while fish fly in the air. Hats are worn on feet and shoes on heads, while banana peels are eaten instead of the banana. Fish lure humans into the lake with bait, while women replace their own heads with mannequin heads, as well as cats in a zoo barking with hippos meowing. Betty and Bimbo perform "Let's Go Crazy" for all the animals in Crazytown on a piano which appears out of nowhere from the ground, and after the performance (where, at one point, Bimbo plays the piano with his rear end), the two kiss. SEXUAL INNUENDO CARTOON In My Merry Oldsmobile BANNED Fleischer Studios

Run time 6:28 Producer Fleischer Studios Sponsor Oldsmobile Motor Company Audio/Visual Sd, B&W Shotlist MUSICAL CARTOON. This Fleischer Studios sing-along cartoon contains a surprising amount of immodest imagery. Lovely "Lucille" is menaced by a mustachioed villain/voyeur but then is rescued by her pint-sized true love. Since both suitors own Oldsmobiles, there doesn't seem to be much of a point. Watch for the candy cane-licking sequence. Caution: children should use child-safe art supplies. Greeting, Earthlings. In today's video, I'm going to demonstrate how to draw a cartoon character that is an audience favorite. It's the retro style dad. The retro style is a wacky exaggeration of typical 1950's characters. It's when father knew nothing, mom baked brownies for the entire city, and the kids asked the teacher for more homework. This video is great for beginners, with easy tips and tricks you can do. So take out your pencil, and follow along. And please subscribe. Learn all about how to draw 3 cartoon styles of hands. I’ll go over the classic Mickey Mouse glove, general cartoon hands, and comic book hands. Want to learn about the anatomy of the hand? Check out the premium course - http://proko.com/anatomy All of my hand lessons so far have covered how to draw realistic hands. I’ve broken down the anatomy and details of the hands and have shown you examples on how to invent them from imagination. But what if you only want to draw simple hands? Is there an easier method for drawing them? Well, cartoons are just exaggerations of reality. To exaggerate the hand, you have to know the hand. So while this lesson helps simplify the hands for you, it’s important for you watch the other lessons to understand the hands. Betty Boop HAHAHA--Max Fleischer draws Betty- Vintage Cartoon featuring KoKo the Clown

06:16
Max Fleischer draws Betty, then leaves her for the night in the studio. Koko escapes from the inkwell and helps himself to a candy bar left behind by Max. He starts to eat some of it but soon gets a terrible toothache. Betty tries to perform some amateur dentistry on Koko, by trying to yank the bad tooth out while dancing. After this fails, she attempts to calm him down but uses too much laughing gas, causing Betty and Koko to laugh hysterically. The laughing gas spreads the room, making a cuckoo clock and a typewriter laugh hysterically. The laughing gas then goes out the window and spreads into town. Both people and inanimate objects begin laughing hysterically, including a mailbox, a parking meter, a bridge, cars and graves. The short ends when Betty and Koko get back in the inkwell and it begins laughing, before panting. GOON CARTOONS is a creator and curator of funny, cartoon and basically sick-ass videos! Linus the Lionhearted | The Census (rare vintage cartoon)

22:36
Linus the Lionhearted is an American animated television series featuring a main character of the same name. The character was created in 1959, by the Ed Graham advertising agency, originally as a series of ads for General Foods' Post Cereals. At first, Linus was the spokesman for the short-lived Post cereal "Heart of Oats" (a Cheerios imitation). Eventually, the lion was redesigned and reintroduced in 1963, to sell Crispy Critters, which featured Linus on the box. The ads were so popular that a television series was created in 1964 (with General Foods as sponsor), and ran on the CBS network until 1966, then reruns [in color] aired on ABC from 1966, until it was cancelled three years later. A coloring book was published which detailed the adventures of So-Hi going on a scavenger hunt in order to break a curse on a two-headed bird, who is then transformed into a boy due to So-Hi's dedication. In addition to Linus, a rather good-natured "King of the Beasts" who ruled from his personal barber's chair and voiced by Sheldon Leonard, there were other features as well, all based on characters representing other popular Post breakfast cereals. The best-known of these was Sugar Bear (Sugar Crisp), who sounded like Bing Crosby and was voiced by actor Gerry Matthews. There was also a postman named Lovable Truly (Alpha-Bits), a young Asian boy named So Hi (Rice Krinkles) and Rory Raccoon (Post Toasties).
