Oracle xml validation against xml schema
Oracle xml validation against xml schema. There are two ways to do this! The first is convenient for validation when there is one scheme that will not change over time and several xml documents that need to be validated. In essence, we will have in one table several xml documents that will be validated by one scheme. The second is usefull whe we have several XML documents that need to be validated against several XML Schemas, and schemas may change over time . Eventually we will have one table in which XML documents can be validated by different schemas. Check all reg schemas select * from USER_XML_SCHEMAS; 1.REGISTER SCHEMA begin dbms_xmlschema.registerSchema( ); end; 2.CREATE TABLE (Assotiated with schema) Create table XML_DOC1 (doc_body xmltype) xmltype doc_body xmlschema "SCHEMA_1" element "note"; 3.INSERTING INTO TABLE XML DOCUMENT insert into XML_DOC1 values (xmltype('')); 4.VALIDATING XML DOCUMENT declare tempXML xmltype; begin for x in (select doc_body from XML_DOC1) loop x.doc_body.schemaValidate(); end loop; end; https://community.oracle.com/thread/418458 https://www.w3schools.com/xml/schema_schema.asp

Lesson - 68 : Hibernate - Insert & Reading image using XML and Annotation Config
Hibernate – Insert and Reading Image Using Hibernate: ->An image can not be inserted or retrieved directly using hibernate. To do inserting or reading an image operation that image must be transfer to hibernate in the form of or as a part of pojo class object. ->To set an image to a pojo class object. Pojo class should contain a property of type BLOB(java.sql.Blob). ->To set an image to a pojo class object first we need to read binary data of that image then we need to create a java.sql.Blob object and then we need to set java.sql.Blob object to pojo class object. ->To store binary data of an image in database the clumn of a table should be of blob type(BLOB-BinaryLargeOBject). To convert an image file into a java.sql.Blob object, we need to follow the below steps. 1. Create a File object (java.io.File object) for an image file. 2. Find size of the image file. 3. Create a byte[] with the size of the image. 4. Create a java.io.FileInputStream object for an image file. 5. Read the binary data of image file and store it in a byte[]. 6. Create a Blob for byte[]. 7. Finally set blob object to pojo class object. Sample Code : File file = new File("E:\\Desktop items\\Images\\App-1Hierarchy.png"); int length = (int)file.length(); byte b[] = new byte[length]; FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream(file); fis.read(b); Blob photo = Hibernate.createBlob(b); The following are the steps to required to read an image 1. Read a pojo class object from a database using hibernate. 2. Read java.sql.Blob object from pojo object. 3. Read binary data from Blob object. 4. create a FileOutputStream object for writing or creating a new image file. 5. Read binary data from InputStreamObject and write it into new image file. Sample Code : InputStream in = blb.getBinaryStream(); FileOutputStream fos= new FileOutputStream("E:\\Desktop items\\Images\\App-1Hierarchy.png"); int k; while((k=in.read())!=-1){ fos.write(k); } fos.close(); Hibernate Examples Project Github Link : https://github.com/SadaLearningHub1/Hibernate-Projects

Oracle APEX - APEX COLLECTION (Most Important part of APEX )
Every collection contains a named list of data elements (or members) which can have up to 50 character attributes (VARCHAR2(4000)), five number attributes, five date attributes, one XML Type attribute, one large binary attribute (BLOB), and one large character attribute (CLOB). You insert, update, and delete collection information using the PL/SQL API APEX_COLLECTION. The following are examples of when you might use collections: When you are creating a data-entry wizard in which multiple rows of information first need to be collected within a logical transaction. You can use collections to temporarily store the contents of the multiple rows of information, before performing the final step in the wizard when both the physical and logical transactions are completed. When your application includes an update page on which a user updates multiple detail rows on one page. The user can make many updates, apply these updates to a collection and then call a final process to apply the changes to the database. When you are building a wizard where you are collecting an arbitrary number of attributes. At the end of the wizard, the user then performs a task that takes the information temporarily stored in the collection and applies it to the database. Beginning in Oracle Database 12c, database columns of data type VARCHAR2 can be defined up to 32,767 bytes. This requires that the database initialization parameter MAX_STRING_SIZE has a value of EXTENDED. If Application Express was installed in Oracle Database 12c and with MAX_STRING_SIZE = EXTENDED, then the tables for the Application Express collections will be defined to support up 32,767 bytes for the character attributes of a collection. For the methods in the APEX_COLLECTION API, all references to character attributes (c001 through c050) can support up to 32,767 bytes.

Oracle EMPTY_BLOB Function
https://www.databasestar.com/oracle-lob-functions/ The Oracle EMPTY_BLOB function is used to initialise a LOB column to an empty value. You can use it in an INSERT statement, an UPDATE statement, or with a variable in PL/SQL. The syntax of the EMPTY_BLOB function is: EMPTY_BLOB That’s it - no parameters. Why would you set a BLOB value to empty? It means you have initialised it but not given it a value. It’s good to know this function exists if you ever need to use it. For more information about the Oracle EMPTY_BLOB function, including all of the SQL shown in this video and the examples, read the related article here: https://www.databasestar.com/oracle-lob-functions/

What is CHARACTER LARGE OBJECT? What does CHARACTER LARGE OBJECT mean? CHARACTER LARGE OBJECT meaning - CHARACTER LARGE OBJECT definition - CHARACTER LARGE OBJECT explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ A Character Large OBject (or CLOB) is a collection of character data in a database management system, usually stored in a separate location that is referenced in the table itself. Oracle and IBM DB2 provide a construct explicitly named CLOB, and the majority of other database systems support some form of the concept, often labeled as text, memo or long character fields. CLOBs usually have very high size-limits, of the order of 2 GB. The tradeoff for the capacity is usually limited access methods. In particular, some database systems limit certain SQL clauses and/or functions, such as LIKE or SUBSTRING from being used on CLOBs. Those that permit such operations may perform them very slowly. Alternative methods of accessing the data are often provided, including means of extracting or inserting ranges of data from the CLOB. Database systems vary in their storage patterns for CLOBs. Some systems always store CLOBs as a reference to out-of-table data, while others store small CLOBs in-table, changing their storage patterns when the size of the data grows beyond a threshold. Other systems are configurable in their behavior.
