Excess consumption of this fish leads to an increase in cholesterol levels and makes the body more sensitive to allergens. - Eels have lots of fat, and thus easily absorb industrial and farm waste in the water. American species have the highest level of such intoxication. - Most of the pangasius we see in our stores is brought from Vietnam, namely from the Mekong River that is considered one of the most contaminated water bodies in the world. - Tilefish is the leader in mercury contamination, and it’s often caught in breach of the rules, increasing the risk of food poisoning. - Sea bass contains an ample amount of mercury. Sometimes, especially when it’s served as fillet, instead of sea bass, you get pangasius or some other cheaper fish. - Dollarfish, more commonly known as oilfish, contains gempylotoxin — a waxy substance that is not metabolized at all. - Tuna contains lots of mercury, especially blackfin and bluefin tuna. Additionally, there’s precious little free-grown tuna in the stores because it’s nearly extinct. - Fresh fish always has shiny scales and clear eyes. Take a fish in your hands and look — a spoiled fish will have its tail lowered weakly. - When buying live fish from a tank, make sure the water is clear. Choose fish that aren’t near the surface but closer to the bottom. - When buying salmon, choose chunks with white threads in them. If a chunk is completely red, it’s probably been dyed. We started off by going to the Tsukiji Fish Market tuna auction, that takes place early in the morning. The famous fish market is the biggest tuna auction in the world, and the best tuna that you get just about anywhere in the world for top end sushi restaurants comes through Tsukiji Market. We met up with Sushi Master Hiro Sato, who brought us around the market and took us to the Tuna King (Yamaguki), who is known for buying tuna and reselling on the best tuna to the best of the best of sushi restaurants in Tokyo. It was fascinating to have an opportunity to visit Tsukiji Market for the fish auction, and to see the tuna being sliced in front of your eyes. Sushi Arai (鮨 あらい) - For dinner, we had reservations a t one of the best restaurants in Tokyo for sushi, a restaurant called Sushi Arai. Our Best of Tokyo food tour had the entire 8 seater restaurant to ourselves, and it was pure joy to watch the chefs as they assembled each mini plate of food. Then it was time for sushi, and Chef Arai is a master, he literally just flies with his hands, gathering the fish in one hand and the ball of rice in the other, combining each bite with wasabi and molding them together. This was one of the best sushi experiences I’ve ever had in my life, and the quality, balance, and perfection of the sushi, is next level. Price - About 34,000 JPY ($300) per person It was an amazing day of learning about the best sushi in Japan, both from the Tsukiji Market auction side, and the distribution of the tuna, all the way to eating at one of the top luxury sushi restaurants in Tokyo. We end up picking all of these Japanese food items for our Mukbang from Ocean's our nearby local grocery store. After considering and having suggested by you guys to try doing a Mukbang we realize this is our first ever one we've done on our channel, so we should explain a bit more what exactly a Mukbang is. Basically a Mukbang is a online broadcast where the hosts eat a large amount of food while having a conversation with their audience. The idea is that the video is shot as one continuous clip as opposed to edited. So mistakes made, silly things said and other aspects of the video that would normally be edited out of a video are kept in. It is more raw and real and unedited. And it is a little bit weird strange for us because we're used to having sort of creative control over what we are doing. A Mukbang is just basically here is the food. We're going to eat it and we are going to chat. Chit chat. Let's get started. I feel like you guys have being asking for mukbangs for a while. We just haven't done them. Why don't we give a food tour of what we've got. This is like assorted sushi over here. This is what I typically get for my lunch. It is really good value. It is 398 Yen. So you're talking like less than $4 US bucks. For this Mukbang we didn't prepare any of the food. We just went to the supermarket across the street. I got some sushi. Some salmon. And we got some stir fried noodles. Some Yakisoba. Some edimame beans and some kind of vegetable mash. It looks like maybe fried spinach. For drinks I've got Sapporo beer. Cracked that open right now. And I got some kind of green tea. I'm hoping it is not bitter. We did a taste test yesterday where we tried green tea products and the tea turned out to be so bitter. Next time I think we should do another Mukbang. This has been fun. We'll get more food. Here we have it. The Matcha Mochi. These were so good. I know. I love those. They were like jelly. I'm going to finish my beer before we have them. I don't think beer and mochi go that well together. While I finish my Sapporo which is the beer I've probably been drinking most in Japan. Do you guys have a favorite beer in Japan because there are a few different ones to choose from? But anyways we've taken care of everything so I believe that is the end of our first Mukbang. I wonder how long that took us? No way. Have we really been eating and chatting for a half hour. We've chatted your ear off. Well if you've stuck around that long thank you. Blind chef Christine Ha wins MasterChef USA (Season 3 Finale)

Christine Ha was crowned the winner of "MasterChef" season 3. Despite her blindness which was caused by a rare autoimmune disease, she battled against the odds to defeat Josh Marks in the finale which aired Monday, September 10. For the last task, the two finalists had to cook three courses: an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. Christine served Thai papaya salad with crab, braised pork belly with rice, maitake mushrooms and crispy kale, and coconut lime sorbet with ginger tuile. The judges complimented her for the balance of her menu. Meanwhile, Josh presented butter-poached lobster with grits and sweet potato puree, a rack of lamb with green curry sauce, spring peas and carrots and bacon-crusted pecan pie with vanilla cinnamon ice cream. The judges praised his effort to make such difficult dishes, but noted that his undercooked lobster might ruin everything. After some deliberations, judges Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot came out to declare Christine as the winner. The first blind contestant in the show's history took home $250,000 cash and a cook book deal. "I'm living proof that dreams come true against all odds," the graduate student from Houston, Texas said upon her win. To TV Guide, she further shared about her feelings, "My first reaction when I won was just utter shock. I just could not believe it. I was shocked for probably 48 hours. I didn't realize how much I wanted it and how much it was attainable." She went on confessing that not long ago, she "didn't even know how to steam rice in a rice cooker." She added, "I was a disgrace to many Vietnamese mothers I'm sure... I only knew how to make scrambled eggs and toast and instant ramen," before she started learning to cook once she got an apartment and a kitchen. Explaining her consideration to serve the dishes that led her to win the competition, she said, "I wanted to go with three dishes that would make sense going together. The entree was a much richer, deeper and heavier dish, so that's why I wanted the appetizer to be refreshing. By dessert, I wanted to move it back to something light and refreshing."

While we all try to live a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy, exercising and not picking up any bad habits, we wanted to explore the options of doing a complete 180 and massing everything unhealthy and putting it into a roll, and then frying it up...our epic Heart Attack Roll. While we aren't stating that eating these foods shown in this video will cause a heart attack, eating all of them very frequently will undoubtedly lead to high risk in your health that could ultimately add unwanted stress to your heart which could lead to a heart attack. While we aren't health experts, we advise you to seek the counsel of your physician before eating all these types off food in one sitting. We certainly don't recommend eating all these meats together, and if eaten at different meals, we suggest in modest portions. As they say...too much of one thing is never a good thing. Chawanmushi is a Japanese hot appetizer and is very easy to do. It is a type of egg custard, but not sweet like you may imagine. You might find it at sushi restaurants or a little more formal Japanese restaurants in Japan but our feeling is that you'll find it in more authentic fine Japanese establishments “Chawan” means tea cup or rice bowl and “mushi” means steamed in Japanese, so together it is indeed steamed food in a cup. Recepies can be simple or complicated; it depends on what you wish to add, but more importantly, what you have that's readily available. Chawanmushi’s flavor comes mainly from Dashi, soy sauce and mirin, and even though Chawanmushi is a savory dish, the texture is similar to egg flan so give this receipe a try at home and tell us how it came out. Impress your family and friends! Recipe: 64oz water with small sheet of kelp. Bring to boil and remove kelp. Turn off fire and add these ingredients. Add 2 small teaspoons of dashi seasoning. Add 1oz Mirin. Add 1oz Soy Sauce. Add 4 pinches salt. Let cool to room temperature. Ratio 1 part egg, 3 parts soup mixture Add your favorite vegetables, shrimp, chicken in a soup cup or small bowl into a steamer for 10 minutes. It was a feast for our cats. They got almost 20 raw fishes to eat. They eat the whole food even though slowly ! The fish's name is sardine . A fish which was not sardine was also there in the plate. The male cat (black and white one) didn't eat it after taking it from the plate, but the female cat (calico cat) ate it at the end. What the male cat did just after eating the food was interesting, he climbed a big tree to catch a squirrel ! (That video was already been uploaded in this channel)
