InDesign Group Objects

08:11
How do you group objects in InDesign? This InDesign tutorial shows you how to select and group objects that have already been grouped in Adobe InDesign. By knowing this you will know how to select images in InDesign along with how to use InDesign to group shapes. You will then see how select objects in a group in InDesign. Then you will learn various selection and grouping methods. Using the layers window you will see which items are grouped and you can using the layers panel, or as some call it, the layers window, you can select grouped objects without having to ungroup them first. Other InDesign tutorials can be found on the InDesign Online Training part of our website. Or maybe an beginners InDesign training course might be what you need? Find out more at: https://www.computertutoring.co.uk/adobe-indesign-course/ As a little explanation for the reason for this tutorial;I was conducting an InDesign training course last week around the Cambridge area. The client was using templatescreated by someone else. The file that they used was grouped to death. So when anyone clicked on what they thought was an innocent picture or text box, they found that it was inside a group. So they would need to understand how to group text boxes in InDesign. Sometimes inside another group. Hence, with groups within groups within groups it's no wonder that they were tearing their hair out. Understanding how to use the InDesign Layers panel in conjunction with groups really helps. You can not only see what is grouped but you can also select various objects within the group.

How to use the Container for the Responsive Web Design

04:52
Visit https://nicepage.com More articles at https://nicepage.com/doc/article/1318/video-tutorials Subscribe to find more information: https://youtube.com/nicepage https://pinterest.com/nicepagecom https://facebook.com/nicepageapp In the Modern Web Design there are usually two types of pages: long-read articles and web pages. If you read a long text, for example: news, blog post, or any other long-read content, that usually takes the whole sheet width and height, then it is an Article. Web Pages Unlike articles, the text in web pages never takes the whole sheet width, stretching for 50% of a sheet or even less. Such texts are used in home pages, landing pages, one-page designs, advertising and information pages. In this demo we will talk about this type, web pages. Why to Use Containers? In the modern layouts, since the text in sections or pages is not dropped somehow, it is the common practice to combine or to group texts and graphic elements. Containers are usually used for that. If there are several groups in a row, then the Grid with cells is used. Watch the demo on the Responsive Modes to see how to use grids. If there is only one group, we recommend to use the Container instead of the Grid. What is the Container? In the modern websites texts are never placed by themselves. The Container is a control, which groups several elements, like headings, texts, icons, buttons, lines, and shapes. What can you do with the Container? The elements in the Container can be moved and modified. Since the Container is a block, it is very convenient to work with it, while building websites. You can move the Container as a single unit, or can change its dimensions. The benefit of the Container is very obvious for the Responsiveness, for the Mobile Views. As for smaller screens, the Container adapts inner elements automatically to fit the screen width. Using Containers In Nicepage the Container control is fully used in the pre-designed sections. As a rule, the Hero or Introduction sections and some other styles do not use the Grid. We use the Container to group elements. Containers are also used in titles in sections with the Grid. Now let’s see how containers are used. Add a Container. Select Add - Container or press the “C” hotkey. Let’s add elements. You can add text elements either via the Add menu, or by clicking the small plus at the top right corner of the selected Container. Also you can use the hotkeys which you can find in the Add menu to the right. Select the Container. Add Heading 2, Text and Button. Let’s also add an Icon. Click Add - Icon, or press the “I” hotkey. In the dialog enter “idea” into the search field. Select this icon. To change the element order, select the element. In the element toolbar click the Up and the Down Arrows, or press Ctrl with Up/Down arrows, to switch the element order. Move the Icon over all other elements in the Container. To add an element after the current one, select this element then add a new one via the Add menu. Click Add - Text - Subtitle. Modify the Subtitle. Add more text into the text element. You see that this element and the Container grow down automatically. The Containers also grows while adding more controls. Change the Container Height and Width by pulling the markers on the Container borders. Container Customizing There are several operations available for the selected container in the Right Panel. It is very easy to add the common background under the Container elements. Enable the Fill in the Right Panel. Change the background color. Move the element. Resize, if needed. Drag the element out and then drag it back into the Container. While moving in and out, you see the tool-tip showing where the element is placed. Align the elements with the magnetic guides, that are very handy, as always. Also use the Auto-align in the Right Panel. Select the Container and click the Arrange buttons to align elements horizontally and vertically. Customizing Inner Spacing It is also very easy to modify the inner space of the Container. Add horizontal padding by clicking and pulling the left orange marker to the right, and the right one - to the left. Add spacing between elements. Click and pull the orange marker at the top of the text element. You see that all elements placed below the current one are also moved. Isn’t that nice? Containers and Responsive Modes What happens with the Container elements in the Mobile Views? Note again, the main benefit of using the Container is that, most times, you do not need to do any additional settings for the inner texts in the Responsive Modes. With this we are finishing our presentation about the Container.

How to discuss a topic in a group

09:21
Five English teachers come together to show you how to discuss a topic in a group. You'll learn how to give your opinion, interrupt, contradict, and more. We'll teach you how to use expressions like "in a nutshell", "please let me finish", and "don't get me wrong". You can use these expressions confidently in personal, social, and professional situations. Make sure to test your understanding of the lesson at https://www.engvid.com/how-to-discuss-a-topic-in-a-group/ To improve your English, subscribe to each of the teachers who appear in this lesson: Ronnie - http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=EnglishLessons4U James - http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=JamesESL Alex - http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=AlexESLvid Adam - http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=EnglishTeacherAdam Rebecca - http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=RebeccaESL TRANSCRIPT: Hi! My name is Rebecca, and in today's lesson you'll learn how to participate effectively in a discussion in English, something you may need to do in your personal, professional, or academic life, okay? Now, the topic we'll use as our sample is this one: Is it better to study online or in a regular classroom? Okay? You'll have a chance to hear a discussion by native English speakers on this topic. What I'd like you to do is listen for any special expressions and phrases that they use during the discussion. Afterwards, I'll review the expressions and phrases with you, okay? Now, today I have some special friends who have agreed to help me with this lesson, and they're waiting in the classroom next door, so let's go and say hello to them. -- Hello! -- Hello! -- Hi! -- Hi! -- Well, look who's here. It's -- -- Ronnie. -- Alex. -- James. -- Adam. -- Thank you for joining me, and thanks for helping with this lesson, guys. -- No problem. -- No problem. -- So you know we're talking about discussions, and the topic is: Is it better to study online or in a regular classroom? Okay, who wants to go first? -- Okay, so I'll start, and I think that it's actually very good to study online because it's very convenient because you can study whenever you want and at your own pace. For example, someone like me, I like to study at nighttime. So for me, online works better because it's quiet at night, no one disturbs me, and I can do what I need to do. -- Okay, that's true, but if you're going to study online -- -- Sorry, but -- -- Please let me finish. Let me finish. As I was saying, that's true, but if you're studying online you do need to motivate yourself, so I think it's better to be in a classroom where you have other students and a teacher who can motivate you. -- That's true, but some people can't afford to go to a classroom and don't have enough money or resources to actually go to a big school. So studying online, you can actually do it for free. -- Me? Well, I would like to add -- May I say something? -- Sure. -- Soft skills. That's not usually talked about in schools, but when we talk about "soft skills", it's actual interaction, utilizing your English when you're with other people, and that's hard to get online because you're watching a screen and not actually interacting with other people. -- You make a very good point but I would also like to add that sometimes having classmates takes you away from your focus because you have to maybe review things many times for other people to catch up, or you have to do topics that are interesting to other people, not to yourself. So it's a little distracting sometimes, too. -- However, focus is a good thing. I mean, it's not a bad thing to repeat something because sometimes people don't catch the material the first time. So that way, you go over the material, and they -- you know, you get depth. So you get to learn more, and people who don't understand get the opportunity to ask questions and learn from it again. -- Yeah, but sometimes the resources that you get in a classroom are boring, and online you can just look up whatever you need on the Internet, and you've got it right there. You don't have to rely on a textbook. Sometimes it can be a bad textbook.
"Customizing Dreamweaver's Interface" | tentononline.com

06:28
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I help small business owners unscramble web design and marketing so they can build and run their website themselves. Start here (for free!) → https://10tn.tips/go 🚀 Transcription: Did you know that Dreamweaver's Interface is completely customizable? Hi there. I'm Geoff Blake from http://www.tentononline.com, and in this lesson which is actually a sample from my full-length Building Websites with Dreamweaver course (http://www.tentononline.com/building-websites-with-dreamweaver-cs6), I'll show you exactly how you can go about customizing Dreamweaver's interface and setting it up in a way that suits you. Now if you don't know about this, I've put together a free Dreamweaver guide to help you learn and get the most out of this lesson. If you haven't downloaded it yet, head over to http://www.tentononline.com/go/dwguide and grab it while it's still available. Okay, let's see how we can go about customizing the Dreamweaver Interface and do something about all the clutter that's happening, especially over on the right hand side there, of course with all of our panels. Now you might know some of this from again, some of the other Creative Suite applications, but these panels here can appear either as docked panels, as a part of what's referred to as a panel group or they can float on their own. Now first of all, what's a Panel Group? Well, where we have CSS Styles and AP Elements and Tag Inspector, these guys are all grouped together, so that's called a Panel Group. Right? Now just above that, I have the Insert panel, but he's all alone. There's no other panels kind of grouped in there with him, so he's kind of sitting on a zone. So he's a part of his own panel group. So we can do a lot of mixing and matching and customizing and setting things up here inside Dreamweaver in a way that makes sense for us, in a way that works for the way that we like to work on our projects. So let me show you some neat things here. First of all, wherever we see these panel tabs, be it Insert or Browser Lab, Adobe Browser Lab that is, or CSS styles, what have you; you'll see these panel tabs all over the place there. We can grab that text where it actually reads the name of the label, I can grab that and click and tear away, drag that guy out and now I have a floating panel. So now we have the Insert panel kind of floating around, doing his own thing. He's no longer docked, and what I mean by that is he's no longer a locked to the Dreamweaver interface unlike all of the other panels that still reside over on the right hand side. So with a floating panel now, I can move this guy around just by dragging on this grey bar across the top of the panel there. I could maybe move him down towards the, maybe the bottom left, something like this or maybe I want to shove him up towards the top, maybe something like this. Right? Or what i could do is I could take some other panels that I have available and I could group them into the Insert panel as well. For instance, the Adobe Browser Lab, I'll grab this guy's little tab there, Adobe Browser Lab, where it reads that, tear him away and then notice as soon as I bring him into the Insert panel, I get this blue frame showing up, kind of inside the Insert panel. That tells me that's my visual queue that tells me that I'm about to create a panel group. I'm about to drop Adobe Browser Lab in with the Insert panel, so now we have a new panel group. All right, perfect. Now what we can do as a matter of fact, is we can mix and match as I say, and create our own panel groups. Maybe I'll take Business Catalyst, I'll tear him away, pull him up here. Now he's collapsed down. I'm just going to single click on his text label there, Business Catalyst. That'll expand him out or I could double click on that tab to collapse him back down, pretty easy stuff. And let's see here, maybe what I'll do is I'll take CSS Styles and tear him away and drop him in with Business Catalyst. Something like this. Okay? So we have the panel groups and we have the floating panels and the docked panels. Now check this out; as far as docking goes, I can dock my panels to either side of the workspace. Of course, we've seen some panels docked over on the right hand side. I could take the Insert panel and the Adobe Browser Lab panel group and I could drag them over towards the left and notice the blue vertical line that I'm getting now telling me that I'm about to dock some panels over onto the left hand side. Something like this. Okay? So maybe I'll take my other panel group and drag and drop them over towards the left as well and drop them and something like this. So now I have 2 columns of panels. Something like that. ---------------------------------------- Would you like to learn more about Dreamweaver and how to build Dreamweaver websites? Once text has been entered, then like other features of Autocad, it can also be edited. In the steps below you will learn how to edit the default styles and create your own text styles in this software. Step # 1 -- Open the default text styles To edit text in Autocad you need to know how to view and edit different text styles in this software. To see the text settings, go to the "annotation" panel and open the drop down menu. The text style can be modified and changed into other ones by selecting the styles already given in the dropdown menu. Step # 2 -- Select the "text style" option To further on customize a setting, click on the "text style" option. Here you are provided with different settings that you can alter. Step # 3 -- Alter default text style Once you do, a settings menu appears from where you can alter different aspects of the text. Step # 4 -- Create a new text style For your convenience, you can create a new style that can be used in all of your further drawings. For this simply click the "new" button on the left hand side and enter the name that you wish to give to it. For now we will let it stay as "style1". Step # 5 -- Save the text style Now, alter the settings according to your requirement. Change the font and its style as per your wish. The height can also be specified from here. Below are the "effects" which provide you with various options. You can enter the distance in between the letters, the angle of the letters and can state whether you want them upside down or backwards. Once you have customized your settings, click "apply" to save them in the current style. Select whichever style you want and press the "close" option to use it in your drawing. Step # 6 -- Change the current style As shown in this Autocad tutorial, you can always change the style and apply another one by opening this menu again, selecting the style you need and clicking on the "set current" option. Close it to apply. Step # 7 -- Apply new style to existing text However, to edit text in Autocad that is already present in your drawing, you have to first select the text. Then go to the drop down menu of the "annotation" panel and from the drop down menu of "text style" select the one you wish to apply.

In this video I'll show you how to create your own custom sliding navigation bar in Microsoft PowerPoint. Click the tab in any slide and a cool menu bar slides down (or up, or from the side) providing you with easy and convenient links to key slides in your presentation. This lets you easily jump back to key slides at any point in your presentation without having to hurtle through twenty slides at breakneck speeds, bouncing backwards and forwards as you try to find your place! In this tutorial I also cover editing shapes, grouping, adding hyperlinks, creating motion path animations and adding triggers.

3 Unknown Tips and Tricks || Change Currency Symbol and Comma in Excel Bangla 2018

07:32
Here I will discuss 3 Unknow tips and tricks that is how to change currency symbol in excel bangla and set comma style by digit grouping system. If you want to display numbers as monetary values, you must format those numbers as currency. To do this, you apply either the Currency or Accounting number format to the cells that you want to format. The number formatting options are available on the Home tab, in the Number group. If you’re working with different currencies in one Excel spreadsheet, you’ll need to change the currency symbol on certain cells, without affecting other cells. When you format your numbers as “Currency”, you can easily use multiple currency symbols in the same Excel spreadsheet. 2. In the Format Cells dialog box, under the Number tab, select the Currency category. Click the drop-down arrow under the Symbol option, and select the currency symbol you desire from the drop-down list 3. go to control panel-region-addition setting-currency tab-Digit Grouping. 03-Learn Photohop Basic to Advance - Photoshop Penals and workspaces

07:10
Learn Photohop Basic to Advance - Photoshop Penals and workspaces in the name of Allah, the most Affectionate the Merciful. assalamu alaikum!(islamic greetings). Today we’ll see what are panels and workspaces in Photoshop. On the right, you’ll see the word 'essentials' written, this tells us that the Photoshop default workspace is essential. Photoshop provide us some readymade workspaces, when you click on the word essential, you’ll see a list of workspaces namely essentials, 3d, motion, typograph and photography. Ok so what are these workspaces actually, when click one of the provided workspaces, you’ll notice some activity on the screen, actually some panels are swapping and changing, by the way; panels are these small windows docking and grouping together to provide you easy access to the most used commands such as layers’ panel, path panel and 3d panel etc. because some time you need to work in 3d projects, sometime on painting so on and so forth. The organization of related panels to a specific task is called workspace. In a workspace you can arrange your needed panels in a specific way and then save it to a name of your choice for easy access later. Now we’ll see how would we create and save our own workspace. I’ll start with the essential workspace, so click on it to activate it, you see that the adjustment panel, swatches and libraries panels are group together, I assume you don’t need libraries panel for the moment, click on the library panel and drag it to detach it from the other panels, you’ll see that the library panel is now floating and a close button appears on the top right, click the 'x' to close it. Now I want to group the color panel with swatches and styles panel, so drag the color panel and drop it in the other two panels, you’ll see a blue border around the already grouped panels indicating that the color panel will now group with these two, so drop here to make a group of swatches, style and color panel. If you see that your newly grouped panels occupying too much space, simply drag its lower edge to contract it. This will give you much space for your layer panel, which is good because we need more room for our layers, coz as we work through our project, new layers are created frequently that needs more room, if you have a lot of space for layers panels you can easily switch between these without scrolling up and down. Now we remove the devices preview panels from the panel column, so simply drag it apart as you did with the library panel and close it. If you click on the window menu, you’ll see the full list of all the panels existing in Photoshop, if you need brushes panel, simply click on it to add it to the column of panels. If it appears opened and occupying real state of the screen, simply click on its icon to collapse it. Following the steps mentioned earlier you can add as many panels as you like. Like histogram and navigator panel, paragraph and character panel, and now I’ll add one more i.e. style, or character style and paragraph style, now you can contract the panels columns to you likings and when you are satisfied with the position and arrangement, you can click on the Essentials and choose “save new workspace” or from the you can access the same command from the window menu under workspace and choose “save new workspace”, and then provide a descriptive name to your workspace, in our case I’ll give it the name “May workspace” and hit Save. Now you can switch between your saved workspaces or the workspaces shifted with Photoshop by simply clicking on it, for example if I want to go to default workspace i.e. essential, just click on it. If you are not seeing any changes, this is because Photoshop updated the essential workspace when we were creating our new workspace. To revert to its original configuration, simply choose the command ‘reset essentials’ and you are done, and notice the changes made as this was the original workspace when we started out creating our new workspace. If you want to switch back to your newly created workspace, you can simply click on its name, which you are seeing, its appearing now in the workspace list now. I hope you will like this lesson too, do me a favor and subscribe to my channel to encourage me to produce more videos like this for you. Thanks and see you in the next video.
