A focus on people Drivers use the Innovision Cockpit to adapt the assistance, handling and comfort systems to their personal tastes; the car becomes 'their' Touareg. This opens up a world in which the driver and on-board guests no longer have to adapt to the car; rather the car adapts to them. Like a new smartphone, the Volkswagen is set up and tuned to personal needs. This is made possible by a new high level of connected systems and programmes - controlled via digital interfaces and the multifunction steering wheel. Volkswagen SUV campaign The new 2018 Touareg is another milestone in the largest product campaign in the history of the Volkswagen brand. The brand's range of SUVs is also being expanded comprehensively. It currently consists of the new T-Roc, the Tiguan, the new Tiguan Allspace (Europe) and Tiguan L (China), the new Atlas (USA) and the Teramont (China), plus the now completely redesigned Touareg as Volkswagen's top SUV model. At the other end of the SUV range, Volkswagen will also be expanding its programme beneath the T-Roc with the compact T-Cross. Another model of the product campaign, which offers zero emissions driving, is also a sure thing: the I.D. CROZZ - the first all-electric SUV from Volkswagen. It will arrive on the market in 2020. Exterior design of the Volkswagen Touareg - tailor-made for freedom Technically, the new Touareg is based on the Group's modular longitudinal matrix (MLB); it covers models with longitudinally mounted engines and gearboxes starting with the upper mid-size class. In contrast to the previous model, the third generation is moderately wider and longer, but a little lower. The new dimensions: 4,878 mm long (+77 mm), 1,984 mm wide (+44 mm) and 1,702 mm high (- 7 mm). The gains in length and width - in conjunction with the slightly reduced height - result in much more dynamic proportions. 💥Xiaomi Mi 9 : First LOOK at the new Flagship Brand !!
The standard Mi 9, which in China costs CNY 2,999 (around £342/US$446) has a 6.39in Samsung AMOLED screen with a waterdrop notch housing a 20Mp selfie camera. The display covers 90.7% of the front surface of the phone, with a reduced chin (now just 4.6mm) and tall 19:9 aspect ratio. A fingerprint sensor is built-in, and operates 25% faster than on the Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Explorer. Protected with Gorilla Glass 6, the screen has a Full-HD+ resolution. It covers 103.8% of the NTSC colour gamut, and offers 60cd/m2 brightness and 60000:1 contrast. Extra features include a customisable Always-on display, a system-wide Dark mode that can reduce power usage by up to 83%, Sunlight mode 2.0 and Reading mode 2.0. Despite its size, the Mi 9 is just 173g and 7.6mm thick. At the side you find a dedicated button for calling up the Google Assistant, and turn over the phone and you find more changes. There are three lenses here, with a staggeringly high megapixel count. Swapping out the dual-lens camera of the Mi 8, the Mi 9's new triple-lens configuration is rated at 48Mp + 16Mp + 12Mp, all hidden behind tough Sapphire glass. The first is a Sony IMX586 1/2" sensor that supports 0.8um pixels and has a f/1.75 aperture. This camera can also increase the pixel size to 1.6um at 12Mp, with its '4-in-1 Super Pixels' allowing in four times more light than a single pixel. The 12Mp telephoto lens has a 2x optical zoom, while the 16Mp wide-angle supports a 117º field of view and 4cm macro photography. Both have 1.0um pixels and f/2.2 aperture. 2018 Infiniti QX80 - The Brand's Flagship SUV
2018 INFINITI QX80 (Graphite Shadow) - luxury SUV The QX80 is a rear-wheel-drive, body-on-frame vehicle with optional all-wheel-drive system with four driver-adjustable settings. Capable of towing up to 8,000 pounds, it competes with the Cadillac Escalade and Lexus LX570 – offering similar features but for less money. Pricing for the 2018 QX80 wasn’t yet available, but will reportedly be not much higher than the current $75,650 and $83,800 price tags for the base and Technology models, respectively. The 2018 QX80 should arrive in Canadian dealerships by late February. Infiniti's refreshed QX80 doles out luxury in spades at a fraction of a price compared to the competition. Broad of both beam and prow, and now rolling on available 22-inch dubs, the QX80 is the Asian counterpart to the Cadillac Escalade – a V8-powered, bling encrusted, gang-banger’s-wet-dream battleship. It’s been nearly 15 years since the QX80 launched, and seven years since it last received a major overhaul. But this latest version is basically a mild refresh of the existing, second-generation vehicle. Most of the updates are cosmetic, based on the Monograph concept we saw at the New York Auto Show earlier this year, with the exception of a new hydraulic suspension setup that helps mitigate body roll. The reworked front fascia includes the addition of Infiniti’s familial chrome grille, referred to by product manager Peter Wendel as the “double arches” – rather unfortunately suggestive of one of the world’s favourite greasy fast food purveyors and probably not the association they’d want for their luxurious, yet rather hefty land yacht. Essentially, it’s a new shade of lipstick – and one that doesn’t quite match, as we noticed discrepancies between the existing paint and the new fascias on most of the testers. The grille is flanked by slimmer “eye-inspired” headlights riding higher on the front fenders. Slightly altered tail lamps are now joined by a chrome strip. There are minor changes inside what Infiniti likes to call the “private jet” inspired cabin. As before, buyers can choose an eight passenger configuration with second- and third-row bench seats, or exchange one passenger (not literally) for second row captain’s chairs with a business-class style centre console. Standard are two independently operating entertainment screens for second row passengers, whose seats also recline. Small children and people you don’t care for much can be relegated to the tiny, flat third row bench. Leather upholstery is now quilted, stain-resistant, and finished with stitched piping. There are three colour themes to choose from; Wheat Semi-Aniline Leather with Charcoal Burl Trim, a new Saddle Brown with Charcoal Burl Trim combination, and Graphite with Espresso Burl Trim. Mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission, it’s a powerful and smooth performer – but guzzles fuel like a camel at a watering hole. No efficiency technologies, nor active cylinder deactivation are employed – the QX80 is unfettered joyous consumption. Official fuel ratings for the QX80 are 12.2 L/100 kilometres on the highway and 17.4 n the city. Overall, we observed 16 L/100 kilometres for mixed driving. In the ES, the driver’s focus is kept on the road ahead by placing the center display screen, instrument panel and available heads up display in a tight cluster in the driver’s field of view. Front passengers, on the other hand, get a more open and spacious environment that promotes relaxation. Rear seat passenger comfort has long been a hallmark of the ES and the seventh-generation model still prioritizes rear package capability despite the sleeker exterior roofline. A lower hip point and a carefully configured headliner preserve headroom while the longer wheelbase delivers generous legroom. To create an entirely different appearance for the inside of new F SPORT model, an all-new kind of metallic cabin trim was developed that is unlike anything else Lexus has done before. Inspired by the making of a traditional Japanese sword, Hadori aluminum trim features fluctuating wave patterns that give it a three-dimensional appearance that varies depending on the viewing angle. The effect is subtle yet indicative of the level of detail and craftsmanship that Kajino’s team put into giving the F SPORT a unique place in the lineup. The standard ES 350 and ES 300h will continue to offer traditional materials like Matte Bamboo, Linear Dark Mocha and Linear Espresso wood which give the ES a hand-crafted appearance that luxury buyers expect in this category. Technology That Connects and Simplifies Staying connected has never been so important to ES owners, so there are now multiple ways to engage with technology in a safe and convenient manner. For example, the seventh-generation ES is the first Lexus product to offer Apple CarPlay™ phone functionality, enabling drivers to control their iPhones® through the dashboard display screen or with Siri Eyes Free® voice control. The ES is also Amazon Alexa®-enabled, so drivers can use natural language commands to control a variety of functions. That functionality includes car-to-home and home-to-car commands, so owners who have Alexa enabled devices in their home can interact with their ES before they ever get behind the wheel. On board Wi-fi powered by Verizon is also available on the ES as part of an optional navigation system that includes an easy-to-read 12.3-inch wide dashboard display. Along with its on-board data set, the navigation system is also capable of receiving over-the-air updates for improved routing and the latest Points of Interest (POIs). Models without navigation will use an 8-inch display and all interactions will be controlled through the Remote Touch Interface (RTI) trackpad. The Next Chapter of ES When it goes on sale in September, the 2019 Lexus ES will usher in a new era for one of the brand’s most popular models. Much like the flagship LS, the new ES sedan addresses the need to engage a broader range of customers. It delivers everything that traditional Lexus buyers expect along with elements that will draw in those who haven’t considered the brand before. Bolder styling, more dynamic performance, unique cabin materials and the latest technology add a chapter to the ES story that hasn’t been told, but that all changes in 2018. REL HT / 1508: high-end subwoofer, the new flagship of the brand
REL has announced the renewal of its high-end subwoofers with a new model that comes focused on users looking for great power and performance, with enough space in the hearing room to install it. This is the model HT / 1508, also called 'The Predator', which will be the new flagship of the brand in the line of home theater and which has been designed around a huge 15-inch driver made with CarbonGlas, material that should endow it with resistance to withstand large amounts of power. The speaker has been conceived in a closed volume configuration with internal supports to minimize vibrations of the enormous driver, located on the front face of the equipment. It has included a 12 mm glass sheet placed on the top of the subwoofer that according to its creators provides solidity to the construction, necessary to be able to offer high levels of SPL. The main core of the subwoofer is an amplification stage of 850 watts and although we do not have more technical data, we assume that it should be more than enough for any domestic application that we ask the team.
