Francis Bacon, 1st Viscount Saint Alban, (22 January 1561 -- 9 April 1626) was an English philosopher, statesman, scientist, lawyer, jurist, author and father of the scientific method. He served both as Attorney General and Lord Chancellor of England. Although his political career ended in disgrace, he remained extremely influential through his works, especially as philosophical advocate and practitioner of the scientific method and pioneer in the scientific revolution. Bacon has been called the father of empiricism. His works established and popularized inductive methodologies for scientific inquiry, often called the Baconian method, or simply the scientific method. His demand for a planned procedure of investigating all things natural marked a new turn in the rhetorical and theoretical framework for science, much of which still surrounds conceptions of proper methodology today. His dedication probably led to his death, bringing him into a rare historical group of scientists who were killed by their own experiments. Bacon was knighted in 1603, and created both the Baron Verulam in 1618, and the Viscount St Alban in 1621; as he died without heirs both peerages became extinct upon his death. He famously died of pneumonia contracted while studying the effects of freezing on the preservation of meat. The Story of Philosophy: the Lives and Opinions of the Greater Philosophers is a book by Will Durant that profiles several prominent Western philosophers and their ideas, beginning with Plato and on through Friedrich Nietzsche. Durant attempts to show the interconnection of their ideas and how one philosopher's ideas informed the next. Philosophers profiled are, in order: Plato, Aristotle, Francis Bacon, Baruch Spinoza, Voltaire (with a section on Rousseau), Immanuel Kant (with a section on Hegel), Arthur Schopenhauer, Herbert Spencer, and Friedrich Nietzsche. The final two chapters are devoted to European and then American philosophers. Henri Bergson, Benedetto Croce, and Bertrand Russell are covered in the tenth, and George Santayana, William James, and John Dewey are covered in the eleventh.

* READ along by clicking (CC) for Closed Caption Transcript. Best version, highest quality. * ABOUT THE READING: New Atlantis is an incomplete utopian novel by Sir Francis Bacon, published in 1627. In this work, Bacon portrayed a vision of the future of human discovery and knowledge, expressing his aspirations and ideals for humankind. The novel depicts the creation of a utopian land where "generosity and enlightenment, dignity and splendour, piety and public spirit" are the commonly held qualities of the inhabitants of the mythical Bensalem. The plan and organisation of his ideal college, Salomon's House (or Solomon's House), envisioned the modern research university in both applied and pure sciences. PLOT Summary The novel depicts a mythical island, Bensalem, which is discovered by the crew of a European ship after they are lost in the Pacific Ocean somewhere west of Peru. The minimal plot serves the gradual unfolding of the island, its customs, but most importantly, its state-sponsored scientific institution, Salomon's House, "which house or college ... is the very eye of this kingdom." Many aspects of the society and history of the island are described, such as the Christian religion – which is reported to have been born there as a copy of the Bible and a letter from the Apostle Saint Bartholomew arrived there miraculously, a few years after the Ascension of Jesus; a cultural feast in honour of the family institution, called "the Feast of the Family"; a college of sages, the Salomon's House, "the very eye of the kingdom", to which order "God of heaven and earth had vouchsafed the grace to know the works of Creation, and the secrets of them", as well as "to discern between divine miracles, works of nature, works of art, and impostures and illusions of all sorts"; and a series of instruments, process and methods of scientific research that were employed in the island by the Salomon's House. ...... America The New Atlantis - Secret Societies & The NWO Agenda

58:55
Milton William "Bill" Cooper was an American conspiracy theorist, radio broadcaster, and author best known for his 1991 book Behold a Pale Horse. Born: May 6, 1943, Long Beach, CA. Died: November 5, 2001, Eagar, AZ. Cause of death: Gunshot wound (Like everything, please research this info for yourselves!) Many people believe that America was founded under the Judeo-Christian tradition, the facts themselves demonstrate that America’s founders were committed Freemasons, Rosicrucians and Occultists that operated in secret. But a genuine examination of America’s earliest history reveals that the founders were adherents of the ancient schools of the mystery religions albeit through a Masonic prism. Many were Rosicrucians and therefore had an appearance of being Christian but were committed occultists. While it is certainly true that America was populated early on by Christians seeking freedom, opportunity and a new life, what is little known is that all the while ordinary people and families were taking part of the colonization of the New World, members of many various secret societies were also taking part and had been doing so since the very beginning. In fact the entire colonization scheme was engineered by occult societies, namely the Rosicrucians and Freemasons. Sir Francis Bacon, chief occultist in England during the Elizabethan age was instrumental in the founding of America – the New Atlantis. Sir Francis Bacon believed that the New World was the New Atlantis. This idea was more than some fanciful intellectual dream. Bacon set in motion a agenda to realize that idea. Some of the most influential men of his day backed Bacon’s agenda and set in motion the machinery for the American democracy. Bacon’s own secret society, the Rosicrucians were established on American soil by the mid 1600’s and among the colonizers of the New Atlantis were very powerful men, called the Order of the Quest, who sought to re-establish the glory of the Pagan Golden Age. America’s destiny was planned out over 150 years prior to the American Revolution. You will understand why Bush ordered the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, with the President's own words providing the criticial historic link to 1580! This video takes you back 425 years to the real origins of America, when Sir Francis Bacon and Queen Elizabeth I in 1580 began to plan to create the most powerful nation in world history from the North American colonies. You will learn the truth behind some very interesting historical oddities: 1) Why Washington, D.C., was precisely located on the 77th Meridian West; 2) Why the original 5 Colonial Cities -- Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C., were built in precise alignment with each other, with Stonehenge across the Atlantic, and on a specific occult "Ley Line"; 3) If America was founded as a Christian nation, why are many of its symbols based on Pagan traditions? Why are there no Christian symbols in the architecture of Washington, D.C.? 4) How did Ben Franklin fulfill his diplomatic duties in cooperating with powerful British Freemasons to ensure Bacon's plan would be exactly fulfilled, while freely indulging in the London brothel known as the "Hell Fire Club"? 5) Why was Franklin meeting with Masonic British officials at the "Hell Fire Club"? 6) Why did British Intelligence give Franklin the code name, "Moses"? 7) How strong is the proof that the Shakespeare plays, sonnets, and other works were really collectively written by Bacon's secret literary society, "The Knights of the Helmet"?

AudioBook: The New Atlantis by Sir Francis Bacon | Audio Books Classic

01:37:30
Audio-book: The New Atlantis by Sir Francis Bacon. The New Atlantis is a utopian novel by Sir Francis Bacon. In this work, Bacon portrayed a vision of the future of human discovery and knowledge, expressing his aspirations and ideals for humankind. The novel depicts the creation of a utopian land where "generosity and enlightenment, dignity and splendor, piety and public spirit" are the commonly held qualities of the inhabitants of "Bensalem". The plan and organization of his ideal college, "Salomon's House" envisioned the modern research university in both applied and pure sciences. Many aspects of the society and history of the island are described, such as the christian religion - which is reported to have being born there as a copy of the Bible and a letter from the Apostle Saint Bartholomew arrived there miraculously, a few years after the Ascension of Jesus; a cultural feast in honor of the family institution, called "the Feast of the Family"; a college of sages, the Salomon's House, "the very eye of the kingdom". _ The New Atlantis by Lord Bacon is one of the most important of the Utopian writings because it envisions the advancements in all branches of learning in the Western Hemisphere. Strangely enough, Plato's description of the ancient Atlantean empire and Bacon's New Atlantis both end suddenly in the middle of a sentence. In 1660 a mysterious person known only as R.H. Esquire attempted to complete Bacon's unfinished book. There was never but one edition of New Atlantis Continued by R.H. Esquire. This extremely rare literary curiosity belongs in all collections of Elizabethan literature and is invaluable to students of Bacon's writings and the Bacon-Shakespeare controversy. The new edition is reset for the convenience of the modern reader, but there are no changes except the modernization of spelling and punctuation. The discussion of heraldry is of great interest to those collecting emblem books and cryptographic material in general. Certain errors in pagination may be intentional and pages in which these occur are reproduced in facsimile. Tenison, Archbishop of Canterbury, notes that this book is "a great and hardy venture to finish after Lord Verulam's pencil." Sir Edwin During-Lawrence considers this book the most significant of Utopian publications. The volume also contains a poem by George Herbert honoring Lord Bacon. For this publication, Manly P. Hall has provided an introduction suggesting the scope of the work. This edition of New Atlantis Continued is limited to one thousand copies and is likely to be the only printing available to scholars for many years to come.

Francis Bacon's Influence - Francis Bacon is William Shakespeare? Secret Teachings

30:34
Francis Bacon's Influence: Francis Bacon is William Shakespeare? Secret Teachings At some point the Presidency of the Rosicrucian Order was given from John Dee to Francis Bacon. Outwardly, Bacon referred to his program as The Advancement and Proficience of Learning. But he recognized that the key to attaining enlightenment was a people's ability to communicate. Thus Bacon worked to reform the English language in ways never before realized. Bacon has been called the father of empiricism. His works argued for the possibility of scientific knowledge based only upon inductive and careful observation of events in nature. Most importantly, he argued this could be achieved by use of a skeptical and methodical approach whereby scientists aim to avoid misleading themselves. While his own practical ideas about such a method, the Baconian method, did not have a long lasting influence, the general idea of the importance and possibility of a skeptical methodology makes Bacon the father of scientific method. This marked a new turn in the rhetorical and theoretical framework for science, the practical details of which are still central in debates about science and methodology today. The Baconian theory of Shakespearean authorship holds that Sir Francis Bacon, philosopher, essayist and scientist, wrote the plays which were publicly attributed to William Shakespeare. Various explanations are offered for this alleged subterfuge, most commonly that Bacon's rise to high office might have been hindered were it to become known that he wrote plays for the public stage. Thus the plays were credited to Shakespeare, who was merely a front to shield the identity of Bacon. Bacon was the first alternative candidate suggested as the author of Shakespeare's plays. The theory was first put forth in the mid-nineteenth century, based on perceived correspondences between the philosophical ideas found in Bacon’s writings and the works of Shakespeare. Later, proponents claimed to have found legal and autobiographical allusions and cryptographic ciphers and codes in the plays and poems to buttress the theory. All but a few academic Shakespeare scholars reject the arguments for Bacon authorship, as well as those for all other alternative authors. The Baconian theory gained great popularity and attention in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, although since the mid-twentieth century the primacy of his candidacy as author of the Shakespeare canon has been supplanted by that of Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford. Despite the academic consensus that Shakespeare wrote the works bearing his name and the decline of the theory, supporters of Bacon continue to argue for his candidacy through organizations, books, newsletters, and websites. Also included at the end of the video is the traditional view of Shakespeare's identity. Subscribe to this channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPi6... ★Please Subscribe and Press LIKE to my Channel!★ Title: New Atlantis by Sir Francis Bacon Voice acting and Narration: by Elaine Hidayat Genre: Utopian Novel The novel depicts a mythical island, Bensalem, which is discovered by the crew of a European ship after they are lost in the Pacific Ocean somewhere west of Peru. The interlocutors include the governor of the House of Strangers, Joabin the Jew, and the Head of Salomon's House. The inhabitants of Bensalem are described as having a high moral character and honesty, no official accepting any payment from individuals, and the people being described as chaste and pious, as said by an inhabitant of the island. In the last third of the book, the Head of the Salomon's House takes one of the European visitors to show him all the scientific background of Salomon's House, where experiments are conducted in Baconian method to understand and conquer nature, and to apply the collected knowledge to the betterment of society. He portrayed a vision of the future of human discovery and knowledge. The plan and organisation of his ideal college, "Salomon's House", envisioned the modern research university in both applied and pure science. ★Follow Us on Social Media!★ Elaine Hidayat's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/elainehidayataudiobooknarrator/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/ElaineHidayat ★Please Subscribe and Like My Videos!★

The New Atlantis - Secret Mysteries Of America's Beginnings 15/17

09:47
