Thank you for this informative video! Just want to say that it is going to cost a bit more than $20 though. The sensor = $10 to $18, the relay = $5 to $10, the fuse taps were as much as $10 each (at Napa, who can F right off for being highway robbers) but I got mine at O'Reilly's for $7 each. Amazon has pairs of them for $7 but I didn't want to wait. T-taps are pretty cheap each, about 50c each with blade disconnect. A bit of primary wire and solder = cheap. Overall, it was about $40 for me, but still a good value for this alarm upgrade. It could have been done without fuse taps and t-taps, to save $, but I do not recommend being so cheap or unprofessional with your car's security system.

Hi dude, what if the door trigger wire sends power to the alarm and also to the inside DOME light? Won't this damage the sensor? What do you recommend that I do

Kriben Naidoo just the one fuse thats being tapped.
Kriben Naidoo (1 year ago)
Are you using a single fuse in the fuse tap? Usually there's two fuses, one for the original car circuit and one for the new circuit.
kidjai (1 year ago)
Kriben Naidoo i used the existing fuse that was already there in the fuse box and inserted it into the tap. I believe they were 10 amp.

Just one question, what are the sizes of your fuses at the fuse tap for 12v constant power and fuse tap for 12v ignition?
